Women of INfluence

Women of INfluence provides an avenue by which Indiana women leaders are educated about critical women’s health issues and given a charge to raise awareness, educate and advocate for women’s health in their own spheres of influence.  We invite you to join us and others who will share their knowledge, research, stories and plans for women’s health in Indiana. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided.

Annual Meeting

Expanding the annual meeting, the newly formed Marion County Women of INfluence coalition hosted the WOI Annual meeting at the University Tower in Indianapolis on September 12, 2013. Topics at this meeting included the impact of the Affordable Care Act on women’s health, preconception and interconception health, and cardiovascular health. Our keynote speaker was Gina Secura, Ph.D., MPH, with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. Gina provided attendees with information on the successful evidence-based “Contraceptive Choice Project.”  One of our highlights was the opportunity to honor Dr. Judith Monroe, CDC Deputy Director with the IU National Center of Excellence - Women of INfluence Trailblazer Award.
